Ayurvedic herbs can be highly effective and powerful agents in creating internal balance and wellbeing. You may be familiar with a herb called Triphala which has been suggested as a possible herbal remedy for pancreatic cancer (research conducted by University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, reported by the BBC 17th April 2007). Ayurveda has recognised this particular herb as a complete body cleanser. This is just one of many more which improves wellbeing and function.
Ayurvedic herbs are prescribed by qualified professionals and all herbs are approved for their organic purity by the Soil Association.
All herbs are: 100% organic
Sustainable (harvested ecologically)

Herbal treatment can be encorporated into any Acuvedic treatment but is usually prescribed as part of an ayurvedic programme including, diet, marmapuncture and relaxing Panchakarma treatment. A full ayurvedic consultation including a full medical history is neccessary before recieving herbal prescriptions.
The herbs work by balancing the 3 dosha (Vata, Pitta, Kapha). Patients are usually given 2 sets of herbs:
1. Herbs to be taken before meals
2. Herbs to be taken after meals
During consultation, your practitioner will advise you on how best to take your herbs according to your condition. Herbs may vary as you progress on your course. The effects of each herb prescribed will be fully explained before prescription.
